The Art of Clowning
Intro to Face/Body Painting GEN 0041 . .9 CEU’s (to be stretched to
include 20 minutes per session to equal 10 hours for 1 CEU. Or add an hour
students and teacher agreement)
A fun introductory course designed to cover the basic art form of face and
body painting. Topics include the types of paints that are compliant with
FDA guidelines for face/body painting, brushes, and other supplies. A great
way to get started in a fun profession or hobby. Beneficial to art students,
moms, dad’s, teens, room mothers, teachers that would like to or are already
face painting. A responsible way to learn to use compliant products. No art
experience necessary.
Where can I paint? Fund raisers, craft fairs, school room parties, sports
events, picnics, family reunions, church events, pajama parties and holiday
events. What's your vision?
Note: A face painting kit is required approximately $35, available on site.

experiences.

Past
2007
Sara attended and taught at the Tennessee Dramatic Arts
Festival in Nashville, TN. held on April 13th and 14th at Forrest Hills
Baptist Church.
2006
Sara taught a class in face painting assisted by Sabrina
Evans "Flutterbye" on March 5th to a youth group at The Peoples Church in
Franklin, TN.
2005
Sara was on the staff at The Midwest Fellowship Of
Christian Magicians Conference held in Indianapolis, Indiana on Oct. 14th
and 15th. She was also there as a dealer with those car/van/truck clown
noses and an assortment of items.
The class titles were:
1. Wish I would Have Known That Sooner: Tips on How to Become A Better
Professional
and
2. "What About Mr. Claus"?
2004
The students who took the class in "The Art Of Clowning" at Nashville State
Community College completed that class on December 9th, 2004, 7 P.M. with a
performance at a Bordeaux Long Term Care in Nashville, TN.
Sara was on the staff of "The Music City Creative
Ministries Conference" as well as being a part of the planning committee.
The conference was November 5th and 6th of 2004. She taught a class
along with Marty Scott from Florida on props. Held in Nashville,
TN.
Sara attend The Midwest Clown Association Convention in Schaumburg, IL.
from Sept. 29th-Oct 3rd, 2004.
SaranDipAKnee presented a session on
"Empowering Ourselves With Humor" at the August 10th meeting of "The Happy
Hearts" senior's luncheon group that meets at The Bellevue Baptist Church at
11:30 on 70 S. in Bellevue, TN. This was clowning around session as well as
"Empowering Ourselves with Humor," learning session.
Sara assisted teaching a class on Monday, July 12th with Janet Tucker at The
International Fellowship Of Christian Magicians Convention in Marion, IN. at
the Wesleyan University campus. The class was titled "Be A Clown" and
covered clown make up techniques, costuming, wigs, and accessories for the
clown personalities.
It continued in the evening Monday session with Hands on make up
application,
wig care, and character development games.
Sara taught 2 classes
at the World Clown Association Convention in March in Albuquerque, New
Mexico. This
trip was for further studies as well.
First in her schedule was a night Owl Session It
was geared toward the new clown or clowns at any stage of their clowning who
were interested in good grooming of that wig.
“Wig Care: and How To Clown Them Up.”
The second was
“Wish I‘d Known That Sooner; More Ways to Become A Better Professional.”
It dealt with issue‘s very important to the professional performer, and
again often overlooked.
A class of 3 Wanna Bee's completed the class "The Art of
Clowning" on May 28th, 2003.
Booshler, Silly Millie, and Cilly Braidz are three new clown's around
town. Though Silly Millie has been studying for 2 years and has made a few
appearances she felt she would like the same status as her fellow "Joey's"
and be considered a "First of May"
A class of 4 Clowns finished "The Art Of Clowning "
At Nashville State Community College on December 9, 2004. The
clowns in this class are:
